“During the lockdown, people started realising how difficult it is to wash dishes regularly, especially with no house help around,” says Chandru Kalro, Managing Director, TTK Prestige.

The consumer appliances brand has recently forayed into counter-top dishwashers meant for small families. “We understand that there is a demand for this product right now, and this is just the beginning. People don’t want to take a risk anymore, and so dishwashers might just be the product that will occupy a substantial space in the white goods market and replace manual work completely,” says Kalro. At the moment TTK Prestige dishwashers are available only in Bengaluru.
