One of the aspects of celebrating International Women’s Day is about appreciating every women around us from every walk of life. It is the day we show our appreciation and gratification towards women in our everyday lives; women not just from our immediate family, but from every profession across every strata of society.

In our daily lives, we often come across a host of working women; from the aunty who runs the neighbourhood vegetable cart to the lady traffic cop we pass on our way to work. They are not just symbols of empowerment, but also a reflection of our evolving society. Each one of these wonderful women contribute to the growth of the economy.
